I am considering going onto wood pellets to save money and hopefully some time mucking out. My gelding likes to drag his feet (he is an old man so we can forgive him ) in the stable which kicks his shavings everywhere, he then gets his hay covered in shavings and doesnt eat them, I spend at least half an hour mucking out He also seems to hide his poo under the shavings, how I do not know!! Do wood pellets move less than shavings? and would he just churn his bed up? I have finally gotten on top of his thrush in his feet so wouldn't want him standing in muck every morning! thankyou x
