Hi My poor boy has a sarcoid (large nodular) on the underside of his upper eyelid - he is going to have chemotherapy treatment - if this doesnt work he may need surgery so would lose the sight in that eye. We do nothing more than ground work and hacking - BUT his affected eye is on the side of the traffic - he often tries to move away from bushes that are close to the road for fear of that terrible killer monster that may be lurking! Whilst he has eyesight in both eyes I am thinking of preparing him now for the loss of sight in his fore side......does any one have any ideas - tips - experience? Thank you - Jan

Have a look at this link. This treatment looks promising and might be worth a try. My vet is about to try it on Susan's Flynn. He has a large sarcoid below his eye which is impeding his eye and sight and the vet didn't want to try chemotherapy as it was too close to the eye. hauctions.net/2011/12/08/antibiotic-proves-effective-against-eye-sarcoids/If you click on the Read More option there is more info.

dont know if this will help with this particular sarcoid, but my vet recently got me to feed colloid silver in my boys water to help him after 2 worming injections for blood worms, colloid silver is a natural anitibiotic / anti fungal / anti viral I told my friend about colloid silver 4 weeks ago and she read up on it and decided to put her young mare of it to treat her sarcoids in particular a rather big one in her ear, within 2-3 weeks sarcoid half its size, 2 weeks later its fallen off completely maybe worth a go! Its cheap and not invasive, if you wish to know where to get it from etc pls feel free to pm me

My vet is going to use the antibiotic on Susan's horse, Flynn, on Thursday. I'm sure he'd be willing to talk to your vet if that's any help.
