you can use plastic drainpipe and colour them with electrical tape. They will be very light and dont last well if trodden on, but they are cheap!

Yup, we did that .... drain pipe filled with sand (for a bit of weight) ... But they do crack when stood on. The other option is fencing yards/saw mills ... they do the poles (before they make the pointy ends on them) and we picked a few of those up for about £6 each ... you could then paint them if needed

I have a couple of polyjump poles taking up space in my garage that you can have for £25 if you want them, if you can collect from leeds. Don't know where abouts in the country you are!

Im E yorks - how long are they? I could send my dad if theyd go in his car with the seats down!
I dont think drain pipes would last long with me, whinney is a bit of a clutz and panicks at poles on the floor - hence wanting some to get over it lol

They are standard length poles but they do split in half so would fit in most cars

If she's clumsy, wooden poles would probably be better, I saw my old TB land on a poly jump pole and snap it in half, and Talin deliberately pushes poly jumps out of the way!

Saw mills seem the cheapest and are easy to paint if you want proper coloured poles.

ooo fabulous, how many are there? im seeing a trip to leeds in my future! I've just got 2- one yellow and white and the other black and white. polyjumps.com/acatalog/Products_Poles_97.htmlThey are the "practice poles" (5 band) slightly narrower than standard jump poles and an awful lot lighter to carry round! They are pretty sturdy though. I'll pm you my mobile number, feel free to get in touch if you are interested
