Heya Guys,
Does anyone know of any long reining lessons or courses going on?
I basically taught myself how to long rein and whilst I'm ok at it I would love to get a better knowledge and would love to know how to get dressage moves from the long reins.

Thanks Catrin. I dont have a horse to practise on at the moment, do you think that would be an issue? Lady hasnt been taught yet. I am planning to teach her to long rein this year which is why I'm thinking about it now.

Thanks guys. I had to teach myself to long line after a previous horse injured himself and I spent 6 months bringing him gently into work. I never learnt any finnese or anything more than walk on, turn, stop and rein back. He was fabulous and did everything I had asked.
I just want to teach Lady the right way and even though my skills are possible passable, there are always opportunities to learn more.

Becky Holden is an excellent person to learn some of the more advanced stuff on long lines from. We're a fair way away from you but she's at ours for a clinic over Easter and I'm sure I could find a horse for you to use for a lesson if you are interested. She'll also be here over the Diamond Jubilee bank holiday weekend and the August bank holiday weekend.

Second Becky Holden, he's fabulous at both doing and teaching long reining. She's based near Manchester but does travel around and happy to do lessons if you can get a few people together

June's not far from me on the Bedfordshire/Hertfordshire border, not far from A1, A6 or M1 (J12ish) to give you a very rough ball park.
