Interesting how much less blase and more appreciative the spectators are too - nowadays I can't see them applauding half pass or passage.

Lovely - not a single overbent straininghorse. As kids we used to do "group rides to music" no no no not to this level of course. I remeber - having to take my saddle off whilst mounted, leave it on the horse and do a backward roll of the back of the horse and land with our hands on his tail!! - non of this elf and safety rubbish then!!
These day it is hard to find anyone who actually wants to be in a school with a group of horses!

lets face it its still stressage, but the lack of water ski-ing nodding dog riders was very impressive there all sat up straight, nothing will ever be perfect , but for the first time in ages enjoyed watching, the poster on face book has asked if people recognized , any of the riders would they kindly comment on the you-tube page ,

I saw that on FB. Absolutely lovely. I saw the Spanish Riding School at Wembley a couple of weeks ago and this was so much better. I love the way all the horses look relaxed, not one is behind the vertical, the movements looked fluid and unforced and just like horses would move naturally when showing off, the riders can ride really well and the choreography is fantastic. I so wish modern day dressage was like this.

Wonderful, uplifting - but so poignant too, when you see what has been lost in the last thirty years.
