We had a good lot of rain and wind in the night, this morning lots of wind and low sun, warm in the shelter of a hedgerow though out riding. Spooky horses making a lively ride, channelling their energy into leg yields and shoulder in, giving us something to think about. Last nights rain nicely softened what was a hard bit of bridlepath/set-aside to encourage us a steady canter up a long hill with a fantastic view as we hacked across the top and down the other side. (Sorry Mods, was going to write about the weather, but now I am wondering if this should be in General Horse Chat)

Torrential showers of rain, sleet and hail at 7.30am as I was setting off to work. Eased off now but fields are completely sodden if not flooded. Oh the joys of a Scottish autumn

I'd washed a turnout rug in my machine, then put it out to dry yesterday morning.. atfter 30mins it's started to rain so I bought it back in, and it just rained all day long - never let up.. by the time I'd walked the dogs on a sheltered walk i was soaking it didnt stop until about 7pm

Very very wet - many smaller roads a running river and on larger ones, floods across them, so many now that few have a warning sign. Makes driving over-exciting to say the least. High wind and then an occasional burst of bright sun, and all the landscape vivid colours. Hail during the night, rattling the Velux windows.

Last night was dry with no wind, this morning is beautiful and sunny with a bit of a breeze and a nip in the air, , looks like it may be a sunny day all day.
