Long shot but I wondered if anyone has a wintec wide they might be willing to lend me? Preferably 17.5 inch, 17 might be ok.
I'd like to see what one looks like on fatty and don't need a saddler to tell me if it's an awful fit!
May be interested in buying but dependent on current saddle woes being sorted.
Willing to pay postage or collect in the South East and/ or make donation to IH Charity - Horseworld

I'm not certain of the size but judging by the size of Lady it's WIDE, I'll have a look, where abouts are you?

If you cant find one to loan, is it worth buying a second hand one and then if no good selling it on? Preloved have quite a few, here is one advert www.preloved.co.uk/fuseaction-adverts.showadvert/index-1034566255/44f36c15.html17.5 Inch Extra Wide Wintec, Hardly Worn immaculate condition - well looked after. Measures 9 inches D to D. Has interchangeable gullet currently has purple gullet inside £150 I sold a wintec couple of weeks ago, it had been in my garage for 4 yrs not being used!, i had originally bought it second hand, and sold it within 3 days of advertising it, so didnt loose any money (it wasnt a wide though) Good luck Michelle

Woody's has a 16" wintec wide, and Raffles a 16.5", which would probably be too small for Talin, but as Laurac says there are always some 17/17.5" wintec wides on ebay.
However, I have got a 47" humane girth which is too long for any of mine, it was advertised on ebay as a 42", and spare pink and purple gullets you can borrow, they are the two widest gullets. Both mine use the lilac gullets, which are the narrowest gullets that are specifically for the wintec wide saddles.

Thanks for looking ladyndibs Thanks kafee I'm ok for girths, I use the stubben cord ones to stop him getting too sweaty. My saddle is now back at the manufacturers being repaired again and they've said they'll sort it quickly so I might be ok after all but if I do try a wintec I might give you a ring for the gullets if needs be Laura, yep might have to do just that, or maybe get one from saddles direct to try as it's only the cost of postage if you don't want to keep the saddle. Fingers crossed mine is back and lovely by the end of the week!

just make sure what your buying or loaning is not a normal wintec with a wide gullet in it, i think at one time the were refered to as the wintec cob, and i also think the wintec wide have the extra balance strap or maybe 2 so 4 in total
