It was an Active rider camp called positive partners at Kelsall Hill. We arrived on the friday left on sunday and did loads! in between. I've learnt a lot. The first lesson i had on saturday was Biomechanics which is about your posture and my left leg needs to go alot further back! Before that i went on the farm ride which i have never done before and i still can't believe i did it. I went around it with another lady who came by herself we had loads of canters, had a sniff at the water and even jumped 2 small jumps! I am very proud of Jinks! Then sunday i did Trec in the morning and i think Jinks has a real talent for it. We managed to do the maypole which unfortunately my mum didn't manage to get pics of but the photographer (simon palmer ) took some so i might have to buy them. The only problem we had was an umberella, Jinks has a phobia about them! Fine with the cows though Then we did stable and inhand stuff which again he was really good at! Took to the green ball like it was his best friend, not afraid of it atall! On both days there were 1-1's that you could book, so i had a go on bob the mechanical cob, jinks had a massage/treatment, he got weighed and another massage/assesment thingy. For the whole of it he was so chilled out, like he had lived there for all his life. Travelled great, although he did come out shaking again and whinnied straight down my ear! and he was very cold backed when i first had to get on him in the morning, but there was nothing i could do to prevent that. I'm so amazed, proud, happy, confident... all the words that i can't think of right now. He's been a star and that is why i booked another camp now. Because i know i do have the confidence to take him out by myself, to somewhere scary, to do scary things And now the pics: Jinks in his stable The cows directly opposite him! My correct position in biomechanics. I lost feeling in my little toe :s Being poked and proded. At TREC Jinks and the green ball, doing a little bit of clicker. The pictures are huge sorry, i can't fix them. And some won't show up :s

Sounds brilliant!! I am tempted to go on one of these, just need to save enough! Might see you next year... I love going places on my own actually - you meet loads of nice people, and the horses get to have fun too.

Ahhh... So glad you enjoyed yourself HelenG.... thought you might... Jane Walker has built this up and put her heart and soul into these camps over the years...
Was the one you attended at Kelsall did you say?? Only that's not far away from where my BF lives, so i may just look into going to the next one there myself!!

I loved it and would recommend it to everyone! It was great to meet like-minded people and i quite enjoyed being by myself lol. I tried to keep it quiet at the yard so nobody would come with me ha ha ha (the quietness didn't last long ). Yeah it was at kelsall hill, fantastic facilities, and Jane has put alot effort into making the camp what it is. I've booked onto one at someford park for next year I can't wait! I know i've said this before but because of the camp i've found my confidence again and it's given me a kick up the backside to get out and do something with the hoss. I've been jumping him and i'm going to a show on sunday and lots more are planned for the months to come
