BHS have organised this day at Shuttleworth Equine Unit, Old Warden nr Biggleswade - I think it runs 10 -4 or something sorry, I haven't organised it, just know it's happening! Jane from Simple Systems will be there as will other experts & there will be plenty to do & see. And refreshments. Is BHS relevant to you?!?! (Previous thread title!)

I've seen the Simple Systems Bucket To Barrow presentation - once seen never forgotten. Certainly opened my eyes up a lot more regarding feeding. And Jane van Lennep is a really nice knowledgeable lady, a pleasure to meet and happy to answer any and all questions regarding equine nutrition.

Very true Casper - all of that tube; scary!! Just checked my blurb 'feeding for success' is the title of the event. Other attractions - worm counts done as you wait. Identify poisonous plants. Trade Stands, car hoof sale, fun activities for kids

Details of Lectures etc: This is the timetable for the talks at Saturday's Feeding for Success event at Shuttleworth Equine Unit: 11.30am Jane Van Lennep - Simple Systems Bucket to Barrow - 'The mystery of the equine digestive tract solved'
12.30 Keith Alison - British Holistic The holistic control of internal parasites in horses.
(There will also be Church Farm FEC at the event doing worm counts at a discounted fee - so bring a sample along)
13.30 Clare Lockyer - Spillers
'How nutrition can help manage and reduce the risk of laminitis'
14.15 Nicola Tyler - Topspec
Feeding in harmony with your horse digestive system.
The event is free to attend. There will be trade stands, a car hoof sale (ie equine car boot), things for kids, poisonous plants display and quiz, condition scoring competition and a burger bar! Well the focus is on feeding the horses well - not ourselves!! Starts at 11am, finishes at 4pm.
