Cassidy (owner terminally ill, lived on his own for years, got very stressed when he moved here) is now riding nicely
He has the winter coat of at least 4 horses, and I have been asked to point out that Bev (rider) is only 5ft tall, so he is only 17hh not 25hh! He is ready to go on permanent loan if anyone knows someone looking. Needs experience and boundaries, as well as company, but for a partner looking to accompany someone out hacking he could be the one.
Then Tiny Tim (failed racehorse, came to avoid a bullet)
Nice little TB, happy to bimble along at whatever speed you want, looking very pretty. Again some experience needed, he can put his ears back and wave a leg around at feed time, and has been seen to crib. He is for sale - we had to buy him and Bev does this for a living, so can't really do a free loan. Added to which the proceeds I get will provide funds for others. POA - it will be with a covenant to offer back if he ever has to move on.
And finally ;D Columbo, 8 homes in 6 years and no-one had ever managed to back him
Still can get very very worried, so needs an experienced sympathetic home, but he is a lovely person to be around. He has a way of getting what he wants without confrontation - I have seen him inch his way to another horse's pile of hay and end up sharing it, when a more direct approach would have got well and truly told off. Special horse needs a special home, at around 15hh and gentle as a lamb on the ground he would be a fabulous family horse - again for sale as Bev bought him and spent hours and hours and hours working on him. She reckons he taught her more than any other horse.
