On this workshop you will learn: Basic techniques in equine massage that you can take home and use on your horse. ALL horses can benefit from massage and most people can learn some procedures that will lead to improvements in their horse’s well being.
Massage promotes good health, helps you understand your horse much more, assists in quicker recovery from injuries – and also creates a bond with your horse. At request - this workshop is travelling to Cambridge!
In this workshop you will be taught: · Brief description of what massage is – and what it is not! · Benefits of massage and what happens during massage – specifically the venous return and the lymph system · Massage and the Law · When not to massage – contraindications · Basic massage moves – effleurage/ petrissage/ friction/ kneading · Introducing a horse to massage · The best “maintenance massage” for your horse
Cost is £40 per head payable in advance. Tea and coffee supplied but you need to bring your own lunch/ buy lunch locally.
Handout are included in the cost of the workshop - plus you will be given some pointers as to how to assess your horse's back and muscoskeletal system that all is well (through stretches etc).
If anyone is interested please do not hesitate to contact me - although after July 26th I will have to pass you onto Belinda Clark who is hosting the workshop.
