an indoor arena to ride in.. Then I could ride every day and keep the horses ticking over during this icy spell ! Even my friend's rubber outdoor arena is frozen solid otherwise I'd trailer my two over for a ride... I can't be the only one, don't you lot ? (Bet some of you have access to covered arena to ride in, must be bliss). In colder countries they have heated indoor arenas (nice !)

I often think this as well, but looking on the bright side it is a fantastic opportunity to work on and brush up the important things such as asking your horse to walk sideways up to the mounting block - as featured on the Christmas IH DVD, also backing up through L shaped poles, standing still and ground tying, the list is endless. When the time comes to get back in the saddle think how much all these things will have improved the quality of your ride! saying that, you and your horse may already be great with all this, but if not a great opportunity.

We have an indoor school which is sand and fabric. Its frozen soild!
I haven't been able to ride in in for about a week now other than at a walk, which makes both me and my ponies colder than if we had not bothered. I won't be using it much over the next week days..
And the horse walker is covered in snow too.. Thanks god they can still go out or life would be a pain right now...
