It seems so far away!! but when does the grass start to sprout again? ive never really had to think about it before on an adundance of grazing but now only having one field its something im thinking about more. We have run out of grass to strip graze as of last week, got plenty of hedgerow and have been feeding hay especially more now its all covered in snow and frozen!

you may not always 'see' the grass but a good observation is to check for their poo's LOL green, runny or even slight difference in colour. it usually starts sprouting around march, maybe a bit earlier, depending on weather. i am currently spreading dead leaves and uneaten haylage around my field to destroy the grass and stop it coming through.

Roll on march lol!! i want some grass for foggage next winter, hopefully will have more next year as it was cut for hay this summer. If i move apollo before next winter might get away with alot less hay to buy lol! think im going to have to get some more soon got a good supplier though :-)
