I've enjoyed all the snow pics on here; but I don't have to deal with it . I do feel for you all. So just for a bit of a change, here are Blitz and Pascal in the sun this morning, with shiny summer coats.

Look at that sky - wow The sun was shining here yesterday and we had clear skies but not as blue as yours, now grey with those annoying white flakes falling!

Oh boo hoo I got on a plane under a sky like that in 30 degrees centigrade less than two weeks ago, and got off it to be greeted by 32 degrees Farenheight, stepping out of my cab into 6 inches of snow in sandals and bare feet. I sooooo envy you

Nice looking skys. I bet you have a whole different set of problems with horse keep over there! DO you have to worry about predators

Yes, it's lovely here. But you're right Amanda, there are different problems. The biggest worry is if the rains fail and there's no grass left. mta of course grass shortage not uncommon in UK as I remember! Veld fires also bad news, we haven't had one here but there were several in the area a couple of months ago. Predators haven't been a problem so far, but we have been told there are leopard in the area. Hopefully they pick on something smaller than horses! We have also heard of a horse being killed by a snake bite but I think that's pretty rare, a snake won't usually attack something it can't eat, unless threatened, normally they just slither away. And sometimes it's too hot!! The grass is always greener.... actually browner at the moment!

I think I would have to worry about Bailey getting sunstroke! Over here he spends every moment he can laying in the sun even to the point of getting all sweaty - your sun would be far too strong for that but I don't suppose it would stop him!
