Saturday 15 th January 2011 Amanda Brown - Get going in 2011!
Amanda Brown was an incredibly popular speaker last January. Her NLP techniques, postive thinking and delightful manner inspired us all to set some goals for last year. She aims to do the same for us again this January. Lots of us had great success stories (well, I didn't get around to jumping again, but have bought a horse, a Riding Simulator and gone into the equestrian training business, so her goal setting definitely had an impact on me!). Amanda's great tips and techniques to get you thinking positively will be even more helpful in what promises to be a challenging year for a lot of us.
Don't miss out - get it in your diaries.
Saturday 19th February 2011 - Working with the ex-Racehorse
Pippa Hatton has a fantastic equestrian CV having trained with some of the leading 'names' in Equestrianism today, and her father was the late Geoffrey Hatton (original Riding Master at the Wirral Riding Centre back in the 1970's). Pippa has been working in Hong Kong for the past 12 years, and was one of the guinea pig riders for the Olympic Eventing Dressage competition in 2008, competing on her own ex-racer.
Pippa thinks that the English Thoroughbred is long overdue for a return to popularity, and that ex-racehorses have had an undeserved bad press. She is enthusiastic about their talent, brains and trainability, and believes with the right re-training, that they make fantastic all round riding horses, and can also compete at the highest levels.
So if you own a TB, an ex-racer, or have wondered what would be involved in taking on an ex-racehorse, then this HCM is definitely one for you! Even if you are happy with your family cob, then this promises to be a very interesting talk.
Saturday 12th March 2011 - First Aid for Horses and Riders
Jane Clayton is well known to a lot of us already for her plaiting, trimming and clipping skills, but she is also a senior Paramedic with the Greater Manchester Ambulance service, and is just the person to spend a couple of pretty interactive hours teaching us some of the basics that we need to know if a person or a horse has an injury.
Jane has a clear delivery style, and will inevitably get the bandages out, so come along and get yourselves up to speed with this essential knowledge.
All the Horsey Coffee mornings are held at Roslyn Stables, Townfield lane, Mollington, Near Chester.

Look forward to seeing you!
