At last NFU have settled my claim for my stolen WOW saddle Only taken nearly 4 months So my new new WOW will be coming after Christmas - thank the lordy. Annoyingly they didn't pay out the replacment cost but it's better than nothing. I will be changing insurance companies as soon as my renewal comes up though, they have been totally useless. Shame as the only other time I've claimed they were absolutely excellent. But I can get the same useless service for less money elsewhere! (no I don't mean E&L!!!) Anyway the even better news is that Mr Sparks went on his first solo hack yesterday!!!! I was hoping to ride out with someone else but everyone at the yard is worried that their horses would be really difficult because they hadn't been ridden in ages due to the snow. So I thought s*d it lets go out on our own! I didn't venture far as want to build it up gradually so just went down the track that runs parallel to our yard and then back again. he'd never actually been down that track before but he didn't care less. he strolled happily out of the yard on his own and was totally unfazed by it all. On the way back he jogged for a few strides but that was it. Totally chilled cucumber ;D Apparently Arab x Sporthorse = donkey ;D

Good news that the saddle stuff is sorted now. Hack sounds blissful.

Lol.. well done. I know how traumatic it can be just winding up to the 'alone' moment. I used to have a nutter from Spain.. When she was in work before her colic i had a donkey from Spain.. probably get the nutter back for a short while in Jan... Im terrorised.. lol

I am of course thrilled that my God foals Mr Sparks and Mr Diesel, are as I predicted, pretty perfect as they both had a proper upbringing, however------------------I would point out that when they reach the great age of 5 they MAY decide they know it all and MAY turn out to be a little less donkeyfied lol ;D Love them both Tee hee xxxx

Go back to NFU, they did this to us when we had a tack claim, our policy for tack is old for new (to replace my tack with new). They then tried to offer me what I paid for the saddles rather than what the policy stated, as soon as I pointed this out the cheque for the remainder was in the post.
