EQUINE IRIDOLOGY Lecture/Demo By Ellen Collinson Saturday 1st July 2006 2pm Glebe Farmhouse Stables, Ashby de la Launde (Between Lincoln and Sleaford) Iridology is the study of the 'Iris' of the eye - the exposed nerve endings which make up the coloured part of the eye, each of which are connected to the brain. A trained Iridologist sees the exposed nerve endings as a 'map', revealing information about: § the body's genetic strengths and weaknesses § levels of inflammation and toxaemia § the efficiency of the eliminative systems and organs Sometimes your horse doesn’t feel ‘right’. You are sure something is amiss, but can’t find out what. Maybe Iridology can help pinpoint a problem. Come along and find out more about this therapy. Iridology has helped a number of horses with bucking issues, due to finding a problem with the kidneys that conventional examination missed first time round! £5 per person (tea/coffee/herbal tea included) To book contact Garry Bosworth - 01522 827527 Ihra.lincs@ntlworld.com

This subject is fascinating. I didnt realise how good it was until Lyn Summers who incidently was taught by Ellen Collinson came out to Saintly. Very interesting you put about kidney probs Garry as Lyn took quite some stick on this forum because of frequently saying horses had kidney probs, so much so that she no longer comes on here, which I think is a big shame as she has sooo much to offer to horses and consequently their owners. Each to their own I guess.

Gwen
I like to organise events like this, so people can see first hand what is involved in a consultation and ask questions to demystify this kind of stuff. They can then go away and decide whether they will consider it for thier horse or not, based on fact and not hearsay.
I personally do not comment on complimentary therapies, unless I have seen/experienced them first hand.

I called Ellen when I was at my wits end with my lovely mare. She diagnosed kidney problems and recommended a course of herbs. The effect was outstounding and I now have a really lovely horse, who apart from being a really much loved member of the family, loads, travels well and really enjoys her job. Cannot recommend Ellen highly enough!

it is a wonderful diagnostic tool and very interesting, I wouldnt miss it. I am half way through studying this fascinating subject and the information it can give is astounding.
Well worth the £5 in my opinion.

yes thanks garry!!! it was very thought provoking. its useful to know about these things in case you ever need them. i shall definately be giving the oats a try..................no more bird poop for my girlies tea!!! all the way home in the car i was thinking "how can feed companies get away with not listing the exact ingredients on each sack of feed? " you think you are doing the best thing for your horse..............but in reality its crap!!! literally!!!!! ps. red is gorgeous!!!
