I can now take definite bookings for rider places, with a deposit of £50 (refundable only on the event of inability to take part due to medical/veterinary reasons). See below for how to get in touch. Slight change to the demo on Friday - start time of 7.00. I have a poster I can email anyone who wants to put it up in a saddlery/stables etc, or just pass on to horsey friends, which also includes all the details. I have emailed it to everyone on my mailing list, but if you would like a copy, email me at jill.allsopp@virgin.net. Also use that email address for queries about details or place booking. Should be a really good weekend, it'd be great to see lots of DGers there.

Brilliant news today - Len will be accompanied on his tour by Adan Shereston this year. You may have heard of him, if not, his work is explained on www.adamshereston.com - he is able to relate to horses in a special way that gives him an insight into their mind. Riders will be able to benefit from Adam working with their horse at no extra cost, and I'm certain spectators will find it fascinating.

Change of format - it seems that people were finding it hard to fit in two weekend days, and so Len has agreed that rather than a 2 day clinic he will do a series of private lessons, each costing £50 and each still at my place so that spectators can watch and learn. ;D The first lesson will begin at 10, and each will last an hour. After an hour for lunch they will continue and the last lesson will start at 4.00. To get the most out of it I would suggest anyone who is interested books one on Saturday and another on Sunday, but if you want to just go with one, that's fine. PM me for details if you want to bring a horse - I'll be booking each slot on a first come first served basis. If you want to spectate, that is still £20 per day, but you may get more out of watching private lessons - you will need directions, so PM me with your email address and I'll send them. And don't forget Adam Shereston will be there as well. Len will also be available for private lessons apart from these for the couple of days either side, at your own place, but hasn't let me know what the cost of such a lesson will be. Again, PM me if you are interested and I will find out.

Further good news, if you are coming no need to bring food unless you want to - I have found a mobile caterer (well, a burger van, but decent quality) who is prepared to come for the 2 and a half days, including Saturday evening, so the BBQ is replaced, but the social get together is still on. Even if you can't meke the lessons or demo, come along to that. PM me for directions.

We had the hottest weekend of the year so far - good job we were outside, but everyone who came learned loads. One little horse who had not been ridden for 8 years because she had issues was sat on by her owner who was so thrilled, another rider who had lost confidence was cantering her horse around the field. A third who's horse was more inclined to whoa than go was also cantering around the field, and a family with a tiny pony ("My Little Pony") learned how to handle her with confidence. Another participant did ground work with Grace - all 17hh of her. Those were only a few of the results - Grace was restarted and went so well Len loves her to bits, and Caspar learned how to try and get in front of a cow(!!!) and how to turn and lead off into canter. Lots of spectators learned about how to use reins with feel, and everyone went away having witnessed and learned huge breakthroughs. I just hope yours is as good.
