You can help with Flynn!! It's the Whaddon Chase PC running it - perhaps ring Jim Parsler and find out more - you can then tell me the route so I don't get lost!

Think you've got yourself a groom ! (I'll bring the bike ) Sounds as though it will follow the bridlepath round Willan so I'm fairly good with the cyclepath route !

Hi Louise, wouldn't be able to make the June one as will be away on holiday. Might be tempted by the April one, but think Bobby would probably only be fit enough for the five mile ride. Don't know how he would get on with lots of horses around - but there is only one way to find out! And with Firefly on the ground I am sure things would be fine.
Is is all pretty much off road, and do you know what the terrain will be like. (I know it is MK and flat, but will there be stoney tracks etc).
Exciting!!!!

It's the 5 mile I will be doing as well in April. And it's all off road on soft bridleways:-) So no excuse!
I am going to aim to do the 10 mile one in June.

Okay Louise, I'm up for that - gulp!. Presumably we can ride as a pair? Also, what kind of speeds etc will we be expected to do for what distance?
Have to say that this is assuming we have our new transport sorted by then. We are changing our lovely but useless for towing Freelander for a Shogun or similar, and I'm not taking Bobby anywhere in his trailer until we have got it sorted. Fingers crossed though that we will achieve this within the next couple of weeks max.

In the paperwork it says you have to ride in groups of 3 - 5 - but I have promised to take Grace, who keeps her horse in with Flynn which makes 3. Most of the ride will be a combination of walk and trot.
Get a Jeep Cherokee - lovely vehicles!

Oh that sounds great - brilliant. Are you sure it is still okay to bring Bobby along with you both? Unfortunately our neighbour put my hubby off of Jeep's some time ago I think they look really nice myself.

Of course it's alright - I'm relying on you for rational conversation - Grace doesn't speak much, but does do as she's told!
My friends have always towed with Cherokee's, although they prefer the older model for some reason, can't remember why!

Would anyone like to borrow a spooky, opinionated, daft-as-a-brush welsh madam for either ride??! I'd love to go but being pregnant I would crush the poor poppet!

LOL! She would very likely spend the entire ride with nose glued to Flynn's (Louise's horse) bum! I think its fair to say that she isn't the bravest of ponies in the world. Oh yes...did I mention that she kicks any gelding other than Flynn?? LOL! Other than that she's a lovely, if rather challending ride!
