Welcome to my exhibition thread, I hope you like my work
My name is Sarah and I'm 28 and I currently live in South Wales. Prior to having my daughter in June last year, I had a very boring admin job which didn't afford much time for creativity between a 40 hour week and caring for 3 ponies! Since having my baby, I've totally changed my perspective on life and now I've no intention of returning to work, instead deciding to adopt an Attachment Parenting approach to raising our baby and a more laid back approach to life. So I've found my inspiration and imagination returning as I've had more time and space to think outside the full-time-job-box, which brings me to the place I find myself now!
I don't have any formal training, apart from GCSE Art, but I love pencil drawing and I have discovered pastels relatively recently. I mainly draw horses, cats and dogs from photographs.
Pencil drawings from £20 ~ A4
Pastels from £25 ~ A4
EarthlyHorseShoes
A relatively new project of mine that I am launching is my EarthlyHorseShoes. I am really proud of these shoes and I absolutely love making them. I've already had interest from horseowners wanting their own horse's shoes decorated to requests for shoes for weddings. At the moment I'm working on shoes for stock so I can sell via craft fairs, Facebook and eBay, but enquiries and commissions are very welcome ;D We looking into getting featured in magazines in the near future which is really exciting!!
I have a Facebook page here, (you don't need to be a member to view it): www.facebook.com/pages/EarthlyHorse/110251985656381?v=wall
I'd like to invite any facebook members to become a fan and invite any friends who may be interested. A website is also in the pipeline.
EarthlyHorseShoes ~ Special Intro Price ~ Commissions from £20
In the future I'm really keen to develop EarthlyHorse by bring my shoes to as many people as possible I'm also really keen to try silk painting as well as exploring other ways to bring equines into art in a way thats affordable for all. For me, Horses are art
Love,
Sarah
