I've just booked onto the weekend course in April and am really looking forward to it ;D I've ordered the book too so I can swot up before going.
Has anyone been on one of Nicole & Adam's Riding Clinic?
Is anyone else going in April?

You will have a wonderful time, done several courses there, are you staying in the house? The book is also great.
I used to ride with Nicole at Loughton Equestrain Centre, many years ago now. Smashing people, both of them:-)

I haven't done any of their courses - yet! But I have read the book and its fantastic. I've also had Adam come to my yard and work with me and my gelding on our issues. He's a great teacher so I'm sure that the courses they run are really good. I can't wait to do one. Good luck, let me know what it was like.

Great recommendations - can't wait even MORE now! Not sure where I'm staying but assumed it'd be in a local b&b - the house sounds far more convenient though. What kind of stuff is covered?

Alihugs - I liked it so much when I went to them for a clinic that my horse is still there - 2 yrs later! You'll have a great time, learn loads and meet some great friends - I met Louise C and Flynn when they came to Woodmancote!
You will cover loads - from learning how to lead (practicing on the other people on the course!), long lining or single line lunging with a difference, riding assessments using Classical dressage principles and video assessments of you riding etc with either Adam and / or Nicole teaching.
If you're really lucky you will meet my horse Red who is often used on the clinics! Are you thinking of taking your own horse along? Unfortunately I think the option of staying in the annex is no longer offered, but speak with Nicole about accommodation.
Have a lovely time - I may even see you there!

I also really recommend Nicole and Adam. Great people. Moor Wood is lovely and you wont regret it. **Waves hello to Sarah** Like Jinglejoys says try and watch as much as you can as well as doing the riding as you'll learn so much from others.

I had a Nicole lesson recently at Junes yard and enjoyed her very much. I also have Nikki Smith and although both are different people in their charactures both still work so similar and I got so much out of that one lesson.. Built my moral a lot! I now will ride a type of horse I never thoght I would dare to sit on! let alone ride. You will gain so much.

That was strange - I was just browsing the site to see what courses I should be going on, and thinking I should put something in about my own Riding Clinics - and there was a thread about it already! Thank you to everyone who wrote such lovely things. Very kind! Hi Alihugs Just to let you know, I have received your application form, and I will be sending you details very shortly. It is true that we no longer do accommodation on site, but there are lots of local BandB's. There are details about this and directions on our website, www.whisperingback.co.uk. There is other info that isn't on the website, but I will send that later, when it's dark! Just off to long-line my horse Karma a very long way, and also trim some feet to make the most of the daylight! Please do be back in touch if you have any questions after you receive the information, and I look forward to seeing you soon All best Nicole

Rennie, I would definitely recommend Kelly's 5 Day foundation course, I did it a couple of years ago and took my horse. It is very intensive and you learn so much to provide you with a base from which to grow from. I was also lucky enough to have a riding lesson with Nicole on my horse Solsti in the round pen on the last day. It was extremely interesting and amazing just how shifting your weight can change your horses way of going radically. Nicole opened my eyes to Mary Wanless.

Hi Roz, thanks for that. I've just looked on the courses page but unfortunately all the 5 day foundation courses are booked up. I'll email the office and ask to be put on the reserve list. There are so many courses that I want to do, just wish I had more holiday (and money)!!

Important - Toni! I haven't received your application form yet, and the clinic is nearly full - just one place left! Have you sent it - just worried it might have got lost in the post? Do let me know as soon as possible. Nicole

Just booked accom now and all set. Toni - did you book? I'm coming with my 13 year old mare Phoebe and can't wait to see what we get up to. Nicole - got all the stuff thanks. Can't remember if I mentioned issues with gates on my form? If not I'd really like to cover this if poss as we have great difficulty with it (I think mainly due to the blindless in her right eye). Counting the weeks...... x
