Posted by kind permission of IH Office - Thank you!
This year we have extra special opportunity coming up this September for anyone interested in Centered Riding.
We've arranged for Lucile Bump - one of the most senior Level 4 Instructors in the world to come over to the UK just for us! She will be delivering three clinics, one in Kent, one in Scotland and one in Cheshire.
Cheshire Clinic – Mobberley Riding School, Newton Hall Lane, Mobberley, Cheshire. Monday September 18th and Tuesday September19th 2006, contact Lisa Pritchard at lisapritchard@themodernhorse.co.uk
Scotland Clinic - Not sure of location but dates are Friday 22nd September Saturday 23rd September, Contact Lesley Furnell- furnell@btinternet.com
Kent Clinic - will be run on Thursday 14th and Friday 15th September, and will be held at WHITE HORSE RIDING CENTRE, Harvel, Nr Gravesend, Kent (venue changed from that advertised in Horse & Hound and Horse Magazine).
Sally Swift is a close personal friend of Lucile's and trained her from when Lucy was only 16. She's now somewhat older than that! Those of you who have the Centered Riding 2 books will see lots of photos of Lucile as all the pictures were taken at Lucile's own barn in Vermont. Lucile is a fantastic teacher and steeped in CR knowledge.
These clinics are classed as 'Open Centered Riding Clinics' which means that not only are they suitable for a whole range of rider abilities, they also act as a 'gateway' to those wishing to continue onwards and start to train as a CR instructor.
The clinics cost £120 per participant for the two days - and believe me - it's going to be excellent value for money. For those travelling a bit further afield there is visitor stabling available at White Horse Riding Centre for up to 6 horses, and the Centre are also arranging B&B at the local Premier Travel Inn which is about 10 minutes away from the Centre.
White Horse Riding Centre are also very happy to hire horses for £15 per day per person which is extreamly reasonable as you'll have them for two hours a day!
Spectators (the more the merrier) are very welcome at £15 per day. Spectators will have an opportunity to join in all the un-mounted body awareness workshops and will gain a great deal by observing the riders throughout the day(s).
To find out more information about the Kent Clinic, please PM me.
