Hiya - I'm from Brockenhurst, in the middle of the forest. The main roads are fine but the back roads seem to be very icey. If it's 6 miles, I would cycle and push the bike for the backroads. Which part of the forest are you trying to get to and from where?

Im on North tip of New forest - back roads here are beautiful and white with compacted snow! Main roads are clear (ish), however if the cars mean you have to cycle in the edge of the road..... not so clear. Main roads around Holbury should be fine, & Beaulie is quite a busy area. Dont know when you are meant to do it - I don't think any more snow is expected in this area until Sunday. If it were me, I would want good off road tyres on my bike! ;D
