Has anyone heard of this dealer in the SE

I have been re breaking a 6yr old Sec B x Riding pony for some people near me and basically they cant really afford to keep her and know VERY little ( bought 6yr just backed pony for a novice child) and so are almost giving her away, unfortunatly she really isnt what i want and im trying to keep numbers down for now or i would have her but basically they have called this dodgy looking advert and they are coming to see her tomoz, they are from Dartford has anyone met them or have any idea is they are like taking them for meat or any connection of dartford tom? ?

oh no tell her NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ASAP !! if it is who i think it is he is the worst man in the world. He has been investigated by the RSPCA more times than not and the ponies and poor horses are kept in an awful state.He buys allsorts lame, elderly problem and when he sells them everything is 7yrs old and sound and good temprement. They are all kept tethered to a long rail at the yard such a sad site. If you want more info please PM me

Dartford Tom has a terrible reputation - he buys all sorts of horses - old, lame and very sick ones, keeps them in squalor and tries to sell them on to the unsuspecting public. I would not go anywhere near him!

hope don't worry paddywak is well up to speed on dartford tom she was just wanting to know about this dealer and whether they are a connection.

I have to say I wouldn't describe it as squalor. He's built a new barn that is fully bedded with straw and there are plenty of rounds of hay, but I agree it's somewhere most people would want to steer clear from.

I have heard of a few dodgy dealers Dartford way. Couldn't say either way if this woman is ok, but I think I would give her a very wdie berth!!!
