I have bought some new clippers, Lister Libertys, (yay ;D) and they came with one sachet of Lister A2 grease. It says to grease them every 6 months but if they only give you one sachet, thats not going to last very long! I have had a quick surf with no luck, does anyone know where I can get some grease from?

Whilst your local Tack Shoppe should sell it you could try searching for 'clipper oil' on Ebay. The stuff you buy for ordinary hairdressing clippers is exactly the same stuff - just slightly cheaper as it doesn't have horse on it ! Found this www.surreyequestrian.co.uk/LISTER-CLIPPER-OIL.html if it is any help ! Happy New Year !

If they're saying to grease every 6 months, I'm guessing it's for a different part of the clipper than the bits you put normal clipper oil on??

Trouble get in touch with lister for the grease, don't use anything other than their grease as you might void your warranty. Have you gone for the extra warranty?
You have to undo the screws, clean and grease the gears inside the bit that drives the blades, you should get them serviced once a year and they'll last for years. When you get them services you can buy spares and lister's own oil too.
I've found they are best for sharpening the blades slightly more expensive but they are lapped and ground on the same machine that made them. They last for more clips than some other companies!

Above is right, the grease isn't for the blades that you use the clipper oil for, it's for the inside mechanisms and if you look after them and grease them properly they'll last a whole lot longer, my clippers are yrs old now and i still have the original little pot of grease that they came with!

well they came with one tiny sachet and looking at the amount of grease on them when they came, this sachet will probably only last one or maybe 2 goes. Oh and I do mean grease, I ave tonnes of oil (its always half price ). Thank you for that feemac, I think ill phone lister and maybe get some more when theyre serviced.
