we had a bit last time we had snow at the yard but got none at home. This morning I woke up to a little bit of snow that wasn't laying but as the day has gone on it is now settling well and we already have a good covering on the ground. I'm not looking forward to driving in it today!

Mandal, I now have a vision of you chasing the horses with a shovel, trying to catch it before it hits the ground in a steaming pile! ;D Lol! I'm too slow though it does hit the ground before I get to it but Molly always comes to me or the barrow to do hers. ;D

It hasn't given at all here for nearly three weeks, I've forgotten what riding is like and Bonnie and Thomas are giving me heart failure by bombing round the paddock and skidding on ice and frozen molehills! Just looked at metcheck and they are warning everyone to be prepared as it's going to get worse this week apparently with temps down to minus 20!
I hope I can get my much needed hay delivery in or I'll be really struggling!

I was near the big Robinsons on new years day, it was clear then. We had more snow last night but still managed to poo pick a few barrows today, bit frozen! Weather is supposed to get worse this week, i have to go back to work tomorrow so i wont be able to get to the yard so often as i have been.

We still have several inches of snow. I'm getting really bored of it but the horses are pleased they have had a little holiday. Luckily I am still able to turn out, but my hay is running out and I won't get the lorry out of the yard.

I must be one of the few people enjoying it I'd much rather have snow, frost and bright sunshine than rain and mud. I don't have to poo pick and I've been able to get out and about a bit at last with my two round the fields and woods. It can carry on like this until spring for me

I much prefer it to wind, rain and mud too!! The first year I was over here it didn't stop raining for months with strong winds, I was distraught! Our snow has gone we just have ice atm and many frozen poos!

I prefer frost and snow to mud and rain. I just wish it had frozen over before the field became poached. At least the snow is giving mine respite from the ruts that they were struggling to walk over before. I just wish they would clear our road so I could get out. I'm getting fed up of being stuck at home now.

Are you still stuck in, Basilhorse? Can I get you anything (apart from a plough to clear the road ;D)? Told you you need a Subaru Mine is (touch wood) coping with everything!
