Mia is in a plain eggbutt snaffle at the moment but I'm not sure she's entirely happy, puts her tongue over sometimes and faffs with it. Brakes and steering are fine, teeth ok, she's not terrible in her current bit but I'm sure I could find something better.
I've tried a JP bit on her, my usual favourite first thing to try, and she seems happier in the plain eggbutt. I think she likes plenty of space for her tongue, seems to prefer thin bits and was happier in a magic bit than anything else when first bitted. She doesn't like any french link/ lozenge type bits and seems happer in fixed cheeks (eggbutt, hanging cheek etc) than loose ring. I tried a peewee once and she was not impressed at all. I'm going to try her with Roxy's myler mb04 (small port) tomorrow. I've got a ported kimblewick I could try and I'm looking on ebay for a mullen mouth eggbutt to try but interested in what others would try to give me some more ideas...
