Due to one very special little pony ;D
squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!
Went to the yard today with the idea of going on a very quiet hack as Indie hasn't been ridden for a over a week due to snow. Arrived to find the yard was having a fun show for the kids and they were doing minimus jumping with ponies everywhere. Took Indie out for a walk and trot hack with one of the kids who's pony is just coming back into work, both ponies bronked and the poor kid is now sporting a large scratch across her nose and under her eye where she tackled a tree.
Got back and rode Indie to the school to watch the others. This time they are on the 2ft 3- 2ft 6. Only 4 in the following class so que kids pestering me to jump. Me looking very embarrassed declined as I don't do jumping (lost my confidence at college) and will only jump occasionally out hunting. More pestering made me give in somehow and say yes .
First to go, i'm terrified, jumped one cross pole and still in my reflectives and muck boots from hacking! Indie flew the course including water tray and very frightening first fence with union jack filler and full up spread of 2 ft 9! Then to the higher jump off, she was great and turned some fantastic turns looking after me all the way to come ..... first ;D ;D
Then somehow ended up being told i'm doing the "chase me charlie" whether I like it or not . Started at 2ft and went up to 1m20, guess who jumped that and won!
So so pleased with Indie pony, she looked after me so well but have to say after the first round I found my confidence again and actually rode her into the fences. She's the best pony ever! Now to find the money to buy her
