Well, I wasn't going to mention it on the boards in case I jinxed it, but I thought "sod it". As I've not heard from his owners since last week, I'm guessing this is another one that's gotten away from me... This is Bracken, a 10-year-old, 17.2ish Clydesdale gelding that I was hoping to part-loan/share, as he wasn't too far away in Innerleithen (just down the road from where Sally and Arwen were kept). He's like a big puppy in-hand. I led him up the road and back by myself, and he didn't bother with that. When his owner rode him in the field, her sister went bombing past him on one of her horses, and he didn't bat an eyelid at that, either! And, when I went down to the field the other day to see if his owners were there, he came straight to me for a good bit of fussing! Alas, it doesn't look like it will come to anything, as I've not heard from his owners as to when I can go down and try him out. They offered to let me try him there and then when I first visited, but as I was still a little choked with flu, I declined. Wish I hadn't done now!

What a shame he looks like a real handsome chap. Dont give up they may just be busy at the moment.

Well, I'm going to try and go down later and see if his owner's about. If yes, good. If not...

Well, all is not lost! I went down there, and his owner's sister was there, and she gave me the right phone number (I had her's, NOT her sister's!) and said to drop them a line whenever I want to come down and try him out!

Well, after a little bit of uncertainty, I phoned his owner this evening, and....
...if the weather's OK (well, if it's not snowing/raining) on Thursday, I may well get to have a go....!
