Hello all - another lurker makes it official !
I have always been around horses, but had never been able to own one until a couple of years ago when I reached my forties and my family and I moved to a house in Cornwall with 9 acres of land.
We took advice, and decided to get some dartmoor ponies to help clear the land. I got in touch with the Dartmoor Pony Heritage Trust, and did a course with them and Vanessa Bee on feral foal handling, which started me off on my IH journey. It also started my horse owning one, as I bought two of the fillies I had worked with on the course - Pip and Polly. They have been the most rewarding little ponies, and have developed into the most fantastic and well-adjusted little characters you could imagine. Polly, even surprised us by producing a colt foal just 8 months after she arrived - no-one knew she was in foal until the last minute. So now we also have Puzzle, who is also being started on his IH journey.
Then, in July last year I found my dream riding horse - a 15:2 bay TB mare called Millie, and another IH journey began !
I have learnt so much from the DG, and now look forward to chatting to you all officially ;D

Hello! Nice to have you aboard ;D
I'm Sophie (suprise, suprise!) and was started on my IH journey by Chester - who is my first horse and came home with me purely on the basis I felt very, very sorry for him!
Pictures of your gang are a must, they all sound wonderful ;D
