As you possibly know I bought Lady a little over a year ago but had been seriously considering selling her as she is so spooky that I don't think anyone in their right mind would choose to ride her. When it came to it I couldn't part with her so don't have a horse I can ride, BJM has been really kind and has let me ride Blaze and between them my confidence is growing day by day. I now feel that I would like a horse of my own to ride. I would only ever consider myself a novice but wonder if anyone knows of a calm sensible horse looking for a new home in the Folkestone Dover area to join Dibbles Lady & Silky. I'm vertically challenged so would be looking at a maximum of 15h but would prefer nearer 14h. also should have been 6' tall but all the additional weight went round my waist so he/she would need to be able to cope with that. Also if you know of any good or bad dealers in the area would you pm me.
Thanks

I know of a horse in Jersey that is due to be PTS. He is 24 and apparently a good safe ride. I am awaiting more details...will let you know when I get them. ************* I have added a thread about the Jersey horse. I am not sure he is the one for you if you aren't confident yet. Shame! That would have been a nice solution

Thanks Laura.
Unfortunately Caroline being not very confident a horse that prefers walk or gallop is not for me, I hope someone is able to help him though.

Hi Trudi Not sure if its any good but thought id share this ad (from a girl on another forum) I know she had confidence issues when she took him over- might be worth dropping her an email, she seems pretty approachable. He is in Essex, not sure how far you wanted to travel.
13.2hh, fab Fell pony allrounder for sale! Has done a bit of everything. Been shown and done very well at local level including many wins ridden and in hand. Would make a cracking working hunter! Loves to jump, is great to hack, alone and in company, fine in traffic, on the roads and safe in open spaces. He is a forward ride, so not for a complete novice but has great brakes and is completely safe. Not got a bad bone in him, would never buck, rear, bolt or do anything nasty. been XC training, done local jumping, dressage, fun rides, everything! He is a real people pleaser and tries his heart out. Well mannered, happy to be bathed, pampered and messed about with. Great to catch, load, shoe and all the other usuals. I can't fault this little pony. He is a real cool dude! Would suit family, confident child/teenager or small adult wanting to have fun! Stabled in Essex. Email sophiecallahanphotography@gmail.com or Inbox me for more details.

Thanks Loubylou but I'm afraid I've never been a 'small' adult, he does sound great though.

Shame you're not after a baby to turn into what you're after - my traditional 2yo will be a superstar when she's older!

A youngster would be lovely I'd be able to play for hours but I don't have the experience.
I have to admit I'd never have though of anything other than a older cob for me to ride but I've been reminded by several people it's the horse not the age or breed.

If you can wait til daughter's ongoing PhD in genetics is finished, maybe she could hijack some lab facilities and she will clone Aunty Blaze ;D One for you, one for TeenaE and anyone else who wants a Mary Poppins horsey, guaranteed to bring a smile to the face of even the most nervous rider. Don't know if Ladyndibs has told you all, but last week she CANTERED Blaze up a huge open farm field AND coped very well when Jasmine was having a major tizzy on a bridleway when being snarled at by two manic dogs through a fence (being ridden by me) I heard her voice behind me, very calmly, say "by the way, there is a HUGE rabbit hole behind Jas's hind foot" as we were plunging through the undergrowth ;D while Aunty Blaze waited patiently behind. Ladyndibs is doing really well and rides very nicely. All she needs is a dependable steady, 14.2 ish cob, gentle on the ground and as bombproof as poss ;D I would personally guarantee that the horse will have the most fabulous home EVER and be well looked after for the rest of his/her days. Now........... all we have to do is find this elusive horse!

My mare's daughter is for sale. I don't own her but have grown so attached to her I'd love for her to find an IH home! She's 13.2 (I think) but is a Welsh C so very stocky and a good weight carrier.
She's 5 but is safe as houses. Had alot of novicy people on her and the most she's ever do is stop if she felt they were unsteady. She's just like her mum and will do anything you ask of her just needs someone that will give her some TLC!!!
PM me if you want to know more- I have plenty of pics but wouldn't want to upset mods for advertising ;D
