I would love to ride (Oxon) although I have a query would this mean riding alone? I'm having problems going far alone and would love to take part if someone could ride to me and then we go off together? Sorry not that confident to go alone!

I'm happy to ride in West Yorkshire, but like KT with Hanni, I'm not good at riding out on my own.

Kt, we would love you to take part. I didn't really explain myself properly. This would be open to anyone and everyone. If you and some friends can arrange to ride together, then the more the better. It would be sociable and fun. Each ride would ( hopefully ) cover a certain area - tba with your organiser, and then where possible, each ride would kind of 'hand over' to the next ride. You could have an area where ten yards within a couple of miles of each other could cover smaller amounts but have great fun meeting up and handing over with each other. Each organiser can manage their own area as they wish with those participating but the aim is to cover as big an area as possible with as many riders sponsored as we can.

This is a great response from everyone so far. thank you.
What i think i will do, is post a thread in the charity section for each area with their organiser. I can then keep in touch with each organiser and they in turn with all the riders who are kindly offering their time and efforts. Thanks guys

I'd be up for riding in Norfolk (am on the Norfolk/Suffolk border and have access to Peddars Way or Ickneild Way)
For those of you who would want to join me, I can ride from Euston in Suffolk on the peddars Way ride towards HUnstanton (although I believe that route is 69 or so miles there )
But I have always WANTED to do that rode for charity, but think I can manage 30 miles next yr (have done a few 32 mile rides last yr)
SO any other Norfolk/Suffolk peeps up for it ?
I am not sure when this ride would be as I work alternate weekends and have to attend the county shows showing the horses. I'd love to commit, but I can certainly offer routes in my area, we have some lovely hacking here, and can go for miles and miles (and not get lost !)

Cumbria!! I'll see if I can get my local Bridleways group on to it - they are hot on Long Distances as well! Sure they will be up for it.

I am in Denbighshire, will help and ride to somewhere. We already have 'experience' www.amserjustintime.org/news/2008/08/26/horse-ride-challenge-daily-blog/ helping an opera singer ride from Denbighshire to Cardiff two weeks ago. Perhaps we can join up with Flintshire and go down Wales or into Cheshire. We can get some ideas at the next Horsey Coffee Morning where Cara Kimber is doing the 'activity' and she is on the Wirral.
