Majoram (Origanum marjorana), like Lavender, is a member of the Labiatae family. It is a herb that is originally from the Mediterrean region. The essential oil is extracted from the dried and fresh leaves and flowering tops of the plant by steam extraction.
It has analgesic, antiseptic, antiviral, bactericidal, diaphoretic, digestive, diuretic, expectorant and fungicidal properties. It is good for muscle spasm, aches and strains and warming. It is also indicated for the following emotional conditions:
hostility hyperactivity irrational thoughts overwork mental strain muscle tension/relaxer

My horse loves this at the moment and tries to eat the whole bottle, is there another way I can let him have it? Is it dangerous for him to lick the oil?

No. See my post today on general thread, it will answer this question. Marjoram is an edible herb anyway. Just don't let him get the bottle - eating glass is not good!
