I've done levels 1 and 2 and use it on my own horses. It's a great thing to be able to do for them.
My friend is a practitioner and also does VHT which I find very helpful for all my aches and pains.
I think you would describe it as a gentle muscle release therapy.
We had the farrier here doing all the trims yesterday, plus a couple of ET/VHT folk visiting. We ended up with treating a sore horse, then bodywork for farrier (whose back suffers greatly) and all the rest of us, lunch along the way. So if you want to kidnap your farrier.....

I am both an equine touch and vht practitioner. I only went on the level one as it was a cheaper way of getting my CPD hours in. I was very scepetical. After the 1st day, I felt so ill. After a nasty accident where i WAS left with pain every day and a sort of leg brace on my right leg, I got out of bed, not thinking and walked into the village for tea. When I got back I realised I had walked nearly 1 mile wihout the brace on and have never worn it since. For me it is the only therapy that has worked.
For my horses, I swear it was the et not mssage that kept my oldie going strong for the last yr of his life. I am currently struggling to walk again from a fall off my pony which then resulted inthe hosp physios droppingme on the floor as I fainte4d as the braked broke on the bed while in hospital. Bad for me I am in Lancs and dont think there are any vht practitioners here to work on me, think Emma Knowles is the closest so atm I have to put up with Physio. Can do bits on myself, but cannot reach my spine.
My ponies love ET. The shetland Walter has been known to lie down and sleep just after 4 moves ! I have mates who swear by me doing VHT with them. One lady has come off strong painkillers for back pain that she has been on for years. Unfortunantly as I am laid up atm, sheis back on them.....
Modified to say sorry for spelling am still on morphine and the letters keep moving over the screen!

I have just spent a fantastic 3 days over near Northampton doing the Equine Touch Level 1 Foundation course and I have been blown away at just how powerful this is. ;D My brain has reached overload at this moment in time but I will be interested to know of how people are progressing with this and cannot wait to get started on my assessments and work towards Level 2

i did the equine touch level one and I do it in the field when I have a few minutes to spare' all the horses like it and the mare who has the most stress levels seems to like it the most' she is really tight in her neck and has violent reactions sometimes but really relaxes into it and stands and chills out for ages afterwards'

I've done level 1&2 et. Very profound reactions from some horses- I find it a great way of building trust in horses and works in such harmony with the IH approach as both require real integrity of intent. I trashed the tendons and ligaments that support t4&5 vertebrae in my back as a teenager and had vht at a monty demo and after about 15 years have pain free days and it just feels normal. I've been practicing for the human part of the et assessments on a friend with endometriosis. She had very big physical reactions for 3 days after the first session then had her first good day in years I've been doing her weekly since and she thinks it makes a big difference in recovering from acute stages, reduces water retention, improves her food intolerance and makes medication more effective.

I have done all three levels of ET within the last year and am due to take my L1 assessment at the beginning of February. I've had some incredible responses from the horses I've built up my case studies with and aim to become a practitioner in ET and Canine Touch, too. I did the Canine course in September and am gathering a few dog clients. I think the three modalities - VHT, Equine and Canine Touch - all work very well together for yard visits!
