My horse after a lot of struggles has decided that he will go onto the trailer most of the time BUT he won't stay there and he sticks head up and charges out the back when we try to put the ramp up. Any advice on keeping him there?
thanks

Any advice on keeping him there? Hi Shadsy, don't know you or your horses/ponies (sorry, not on here regularly enough!) but the best advice I can give is for your peace of mind and your WELLBEING please get an RA out to evaluate what's going on real-time and deal with the problem that way. xxx

Dont know where you are Shadsy, but they are looking for dificult/non loading horses for an IH course in Oxford - maybe an idea?
My youngster is a "difficult" but not impossible horse to load - needs some work and time but I'd have to box him from Surrey and dont want him stressing all the way!! He nearly turned a trailer on it's side when he was a yearling - had to call vet to sedate him to get him to the vet hospital hence reason we were travelling!! - he's 3 now so goodness knows what he'd do to a trailer!!
