[my email to Baileys France just bounced back so i guess i should phone... and your emails to Baileys France are likely to keep bouncing back because they changed their entire operation a couple months ago but haven't bothered updating the website. From now on Baileys is only available from certain Pole Vert shops - mine was 2 hours' drive away - and while they were at it they put 50% on all prices grrrrr, so funnily enough I've stopped using their soya oil ...... I get my Top Spec from Wendy near Toulouse. Yes it's a bit of a drive but I go down every 3 months and stock up. I can't remember where you were - I'm close to Marmande? - but could pick up some up for you if/when you ever needed to try it.

oh that's a pain re. Baileys... we don't have any Pole Vert near here, just Gamm Vert... thanks so much for your offer Marianne! I think i'm miles away from everyone though as I'm up between Tours and Poitiers, but it was so kind of you to offer! I will have a go with the Equestro for the time being and might order the magnesium oxide from the Horze site as well once i've checked the levels in Equestro... You're right about the cereals Gill - i'd mentioned to my vet they were getting a small amount of rolled barley, so might have to keep some in there and just drop the Destrier for now... thanks so much for all your help - I get so confused with all the different feeding options sometimes...

i've just received the Magnesium oxide from the "Horze" site - it came pretty quickly as i only ordered it on thursday! i think it must be "heavy" as one 15-ml measuring spoon is meant to be 13 g... how much do you normally feed? i was planning on topping up to 10 g after working out how much is in the "Equistro mega bases entretien"... will have to do some maths hehe!
i've just found another vitamin supplement as well - Destrier do one apparently (granules) at a third of the price of the Equistro, so will definitely check that one out too...
