Hi Anyboy seen this DVD yet www.stormymay.comfound it very interesting and slightly challanging at times. Not that sure of some of the 'anti bit' stuff from Alexander Nevzorov as he was clearly showing severe abuse of bits/spurs and wips to make his point-im sure you could abuse a horse as much in a Duelly if you put your mind to it. Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling was in his element-although slightly confused about our ansestors and their 'being' with horses-in his list if peoples from the past whom the horse was important in a sort of spirital way from the 'indians' to the 'vikings' he included the australians- well that will be news to native australian peoples Mark Rishid says some useful stuff, alought nothing he does not say on other DVDs and in more details. You get to hear Marks views on herd leadtership and on softness-but if you want to understand softeness you are better off with his latest DVD on the subject-he seems to keep his hat on when sitting in what looked like his lounge-does he sleep in it? Its very filmed and mostly delightful to watch-the abuse scenes are not suitable for small children and the central point stormy makes-that she had lost the way from being a girl in love with horses to a horse trainer making them preform is an important one and a brave one to make-something we can all think about maybe Colin

I've been waiting for this to come out for a while and finally ordered it yesterday.
There is a trailer for it on the site - looks very interesting from what I've seen so far.

From the website, about Carolyn Resnick: "Progressing up the pecking order with nothing but her own two feet and a desire for acceptance, she ultimately unlocked the secrets of the herd and was invited to ride the lead mare in complete liberty." However... I had a look at the reviews of her book "Naked Liberty" on Amazon, and found someone had written "Her clear distinctions between horses that are 'leaders' or 'dominant' are just brilliant." and someone else had written "Herd dynamics can't be explained solely by the dominant and submissive behaviors of the members, she asserts. It's much more complex, and she explains how and why with clarity and sincerity." Plus, she interacts with horses "in an area large enough so that he can escape the person's influence if he so chooses.", which I find most encouraging. So I really don't know where she stands. Was there anything about "progressing up the pecking order" on the DVD? It sounds very interesting anyway!
