I Would start my own youngster, and i would make my own saddle, i just need to pluck up enough courage to do it, and finish my re flocking course. I prefere a sweet metal snaffle as all my arabs have soft mouths.

I plan to do the same as Gem - start Sparks myself and then send him to my friend who's a top dressage rider for some schooling. I would love to have Mark Rashid or Ian Vandenberghe help me with the groundwork beforehand though.
Saddle would totally depend on the horse - although i love some treeless saddles i don't believe that they suit every horse. The best i've tried is the HM Fhoenix. As far as treed saddles go i like Kay Humphries/Barry Swain saddles and Ideal.
