They came to visit me today and helped me and sherb re-lay the foundations of our relationship. We caught him and let him go quite a few times and just took the weight of the world off his shoulders generally. Now I just need to build on that for a few weeks without the pressure of riding before I take the next step. He picked up feet and what not. The good thing about today was that he wasn't an angel at all but it didn't matter because I learnt a few new tools and also got reminded of a few old ones I hadn't felt able to use for a while. Then after they went I gave him another hour in the field and then went to catch him with no problems. What a good boy. Then I stood having a chat with Hatty's owner and just asked him to stand still whiich he did quite well at. I did very well at keeping my hair firmly on! I learnt how to use as little pressure possible, which I hadn't been doing. I had been using the pressure I felt it would take in the end rather than starting small to give him the chance to improve. I learnt to not move my feet just because he's moving his, as in, when I stop, even if he doesn't, I stand still and then re-position him. I just got back the basics which had escaped me and like I said, I also learnt some new stuff to back it all up. It was ace and has given me what I need to carry on now. So thanks Jen and Heather, I'll keep you posted on our progress now.

Sounds great. Have met Heather very briefly, and Jen helped me out big tie last year when she transported Lloyd for me. They are lovely!
