Erm, I did work it all out a few months ago. It comes to about £250 per month to keep all three That includes their livery, feet, standard vet fees and insurance, feed, wormers etc.

Hmm well basics (livery, feed, farrier, wormer, ins) comes to around £150 a month, so that's £1,800 a year.
I worked out that competing at endurance during the 2007 season cost around £1,000 - EGB annual membership fees, ride entries, diesel, camping/B&B.
Then the 4x4 costs about £150 a month to run (that's EXCLUDING going to events) - the Corsa I had previously cost about £100 so that's an additional £600 a year.
Then there's clothing, equipment, tack. Not adding that one up!!
Just as well I don't smoke or go out very often!

The last time I did the accounts, it has cost £26K for 10 or 11 for the year, on our own land. And no competitions!

I was looking through my blogsite and realised I have been wearing the same jumper for seven years (and it was originally my husband's). Shopping for clothes - what's that? Make-up??

I'd die of fright if I even tried to work it out. I think JJ's supplements bill outruns our food bill by hundreds

mine dont cost me too much bless them.
my 2 at uni cost me £15 a week each livery. so £120 a month. get through about a bag of chaff a month £8 ish a bag of speedy beet £8ish then dizzy is on youngstock mix £10, then both have feet trimmed every 5 weeks £40 each and i use about £30 hay and straw a month. not got a clue how much i spend on petrol £10 ish? so... i work that out at... £276 a month for two of them. but then of course Ryan needs a bloody second morgage to pay his vets bills! and niether of them are in work at that!

I can't even begin to add it up, otherwise it will confirm that I can't afford them! I imagine that paying for the horses comes out of some seperate magical bank account, I'm just not sure who's paying the money in!

I have decided to really scare myself next year, 2008, and keep (well hidden) a record of all I spend with the hope that I will think before I buy anything! So I have stocked up on haylage today and am cursing that the vet/physio can't come untill Wednesday! I thought I may start a thread to be updated each month on here so we can compare expenses.

Not exactly well hidden tho! A good idea, especially as the next three months are the absolute worst.
