Wouldn't Raj be a bit too big for my mare? No - she's a roomy mare. I have a 15.2 TB whose been to him twice and foaled unassisted both times. And she's half the width of yours. I wouldn't take a smaller TB to him unless she'd had at least a couple of foals by a big stallion - but your mare would be fine. She's got a longish back and although she could do with a bit more back-end, she certainly doesn't look like a narrow-pelvis mare.

I have used crosses on crosses a lot, in fact most top show ponies are crosses on crosses. If you choose quality and put it on quality, the result is usually quality. Your stallion may suit bige's mare Janet and he is indeed a lovely RID, but we still don't know what type of horse big e hopes for, one of a similar type to mum only possibly better, or an all together heavier type?

i meant to say consider something shorter backed as your mare appears quite long in the back

Ideally i'd like an old faishoned ID type. More the cart horse vareity than the sportshorse, with a laid back nature and a good attitude.

my only other ID mare was by Groundblack lass, she was massive but i only had her on loan until she passed away. She was a lovely mare but she had poor hooves and was always getting abcesses. but a lovely armchair ride.

In that case an RID is the horse for your mare , no question

You MUST mean out of Glounbrack Lass (by = stallion) If she was the 1971 Glounbrack Lass - by Galty Chief - then she is Raj's grand-dam on mother's side. And he is apparently VERY like her indeed - he's not like his sire, or his dam's sire! There was another Glounbrack Lass 2(by Shandrum Prince) - there's some confusion in the database about the 2 of them!
