Gosh he's really beautiful, I really really hope you have a positive outcome with him. He looks such a stunner, what an awful disease it is, I really pity anyone who has been or is going through it, my fingers are crossed for you, will be thinking of you.

I think he is getting over the worse of it thankfully. He has stopped having the runny nose, stopped shaking all over and sweating all the time. He eats his meals most of the time now. The only setback we still have is he can't/won't/doesn't eat hay or grass, obviously this is pretty vital to any horse. The Holistic vet is coming again on Wednesday, I am hoping he can help with this. So I am keeping everything crossed that he continues this way.... thanks for thinking of us..... L

Lioness that's WONDERFUL news Maybe you can fnd a hay substitute that he'll eat? Something like Hi-Fi Lite or unmolassed alfalfa, perhaps mixed with something like unmolassed sugar beet? Got to be a healthier diet than the crisps & kit kat he ate a few days ago! I am so pleased to hear he's feeling a bit better, you've made my day & I can only imagine how relieved you're feeling. Love Naria

AWwwwwwwwwwwwwww Gem, hes gorgeous!!! i dont have special healing powers but i send my love & hope he gets better... Rosie (our grass sickness survior) is still on the mend, the vet has said that if her heart rate stays under 40bpm, for the next week, we can try feeding her some hard feed.... :-) hope this finds everyone well

Hi Naria, Thanks for thinking of us. We had the holistic vet yesterday and he gave him some more acupuncture to try and help his throat and stomach paralysis, whoch might help him to eat grass or hay more. The vet said he was much brighter and looked like he had put on weight ! which was great to hear from someone else...... Nelson is pretty poorly today, he has laid down all day and won't eat, which is what he did last time after his acupuncture, I thunk it makes them drowzy for 48 hours, so I am not too worried. We are changing his feed over to Simple System, the vet recommended them as they are organic, high fibre and good quality. There is some alfa alfa pellets, beet pulp and grass pellets that would replace the hay and grass that he is not having, plus they do a great organic supplement with seaweed, brewers yeast and linseed. I mix everything up into a soup for him, and he gets through is most of the time. I'm willing to give anything a go to keep the momemtum of his progress, so I'll let you know how we are getting on with it. I'd be interested in knowing how Rosie is also ?? Take care all L
