Mmm. They look like they should come back okay. Lots of natural flair. She needs to be on a good hard surface to help her out a bit too. which auction?

oooh dont envy your farrier! ori has quite a bit of flair on her hind left which has taken a while to sort out - still not perfect, going to be a long road with that one!xx

OMG how could anyone let the horses feet get like that, how disgusting. Are all the sales horses like this, or was that a particularly bad one?

She's just a mare been left to get on with it. All horses feet will do this if left to nature, most will have access to rock or stone and their feet will break off, not aesthetically pleasingly round but break off nontheless in the right place. When its native pony breeding herds they don't put a lot of time into farriery.

I'd be interested to know what your farrier says about anything going on inside the hoof itself, seems a bit sinister that they dip in at the front like that, could it be something to do with pedal bones?? Hopefully not, but fingers crossed!!

Don't think they look sinister, just flaring out from what should be the natural foot shape, and when that breaks off they'll look more normal.
What's rest of pone look like then?

Those feet will be OK, they've just been neglected. She does look rather sway backed though, how old is she?
