ooooo youre all very good. I cant get it from the city library funnily enough. Whats the DVD like then? Is it a teaching dvd? Horse Follow Closely DVD takes you through the ideas of 'native american Horsmanship' and what pony calls relationship teaching. It explains the concepts which are similar, but not the same as montys/kellys Some is not really rocket science-Pony says the first thing you should do is 'spend a day' with your horse-sit and watch it -find out where it is in a group/when it eats/rest what worries it-get to know it as an invidual Was done a few years ago and shows a younger pony. Starts with a opening bit 'are paths were meant to cross' this is part of a wonderful poectic end to Horse follow closely is a lovely bit of script in its own right . Simple Truth about horses vol 1 and 2 -round pen work to establish your horses trust-extended work on relationship training Vol 3 is about buying a horse. Hope this helps. Colin

I saw Pony at a 2day 'Horses teaching people' clinic over the weekend and was thoroughly impressed at his no nonsense approach and his teaching methods are imo phenominal... aimed at owners actually taking responsibility for the effect they have on their horses rather than reacting to the horse!!! Thoroughly recommend seeing him if you get the chance, all the participants progressed and he gave individual attention to those most in need without interfering with their mistakes to allow them to learn from them but then explaining/demonstrating why communication wasn't working. He did interfere when things got a little out of control usually with too much pressure on the horse. He has written a few books and has DVDs out and as has been mentioned a website at Gawaniponyboy.com Here's some poor pics!! Sadly my camera doesn't do moving subjects so many I took are blurred or of Pony's back!!! Pony looking out across the Centre fields in the morning Irish mist. Demonstrating throwing your energy (the rope) at the horses feet (rather than using the head to move the horse) Working with a young student to help her with her positioning and body language. Explaining and answering questions to the observers.
