I've done a couple of TREC's in the past. Great fun, would really recommend them to anyone. If you go on to www.bhs.org.uk website there is a link to all the TREC events month by month, if that's any help?

I would love to have a go at this. I went to an open day recently but didn't participate, just had a look. It was at Geldestone Hall, suffolk/Norfolk borders but only held once a year. My friend is also v keen to start something up locally ( we are in Suffolk and she is very IH just doesn't know it as she is also ex BHS examiner and best trainer I have ever worked with!) I have a field, not sure if its big enough (5 acres) ANyone out there want to set something up?

Hello - I have been doing TREC Championships since 2003. My sister who has been GB Level 3 Champion does training (in Scotland unfortunately) - I am not fantastic and current horse only started this year but we did make it to the GB's - four days travel, whoa!! If you want to do real TREC it does seem you have to travel - the Geldeston day was great fun but sort of pseudo-TREC. Forest Edge in Norfolk do indoor series and CambsTREC run a proper 2 day there in the spring which was really good, lovely venue. Events are always really social and very often like-minded folk about! I'm always looking for TRECcie friends to come to stuff with me - I drove to Scotland and back in a borrowed lorry on my own (well with me boy obviously but conversations were a tad one sided!!!).

Well I am taking Star to her first Le Trec on Sunday at Stonham Aspal......anyone else going ? you can train in the morning and do the ride in the afternoon. It's not a full Le Trec (no orienteering, but you have the obstacle course) Look on www.horsedates.co.uk its on there. Very handy for shows in this area too

How did it go Lulu? I have just started the winter series dressage there. It's a lovely venue, really well equipped, great surface and friendly... Wanted to go to trec but have to juggle the time away with OH and it was his weekend!
