Hi Mandal, I have been in the woods near Wass bank and I have ridden the race horses at the top of Sutton Bank, but I haven't been on the Cleveland Way yet. I would like to go up there when the weather is nicer. Do you still live near Boltby or have you moved away?

Yep Mel's right Hammy. If you take the road past the Tourist Centre at the top of Sutton Bank, sign posted Cold kirby, past the gallops then take the left past Dialstone Farm you will get onto a long straight road which leads to a green lane (at the top of Boltby Bank (otherwise known as Sneck Yate) which goes onto the moor joining the Cleveland way. You can park at the entrance to the green lane but over recent years it's getting more popular. Boltby Forest is also probably open for riding now...........there is a lovely reservoir in the forest. Mind you I think it burst it's dam a few years ago so I don't know what it's like now.Anyway it's worth taking a day out in the car to have a look it's great walking country...........there are footpaths and bridalways from the village too. Happy exploring. ;D

Can't help with vets or yards in York I'm afraid. Malton is the nearest I can get. Just wanted to wish you a trouble free move and many happy years in N.Yorkshire. If I lived in a city it would be York.

Good luck with it, went on Weds and forgot rideaway about 10 mins from strensall, worth going look at their notice board, quite a few offered.
Or look at gg centre, google it, approx 20 min drive but ace facilities.
