can any one recommend a farrier for barefoot trimming, had Bob Rush but he is alwys late (2hrs) . yesturday he never arrived and I had left work early, I'm in a job where my absense costs £30 per hour so can't tke time off and he wonn't do weekends. Walited intil darkness last night nad when I phone (pub/family nosises behind) he said he phone back in 20mins as he was in a meeting and never did. Why do they assume they are the only people who work, I'd phoned him in the morning to change location, then 6 times leaving two messages when the light began to fade, its so rude.

Last time i was at Beckys Antonio was there, he did look like he was doing a good job. I use one of Rossdales Farriers called Aaron but i don't think he travels out as far as you guys. He has done a really good job with my boys, one of which is barefoot and the other only has fronts.

I can fully recommend my farrier Martyn Goodwin. My horse was written off by Rossdales 4 years ago but was saved by Martyn. He is NEVER EVER late. His sets are £55, he can hot or cold shoe and he does bare foot trims. He fits traditional shoes as well as Cyteks (the saving grace for my fellas Navicular syndrome).
He cover the Diss/Ipswich and Bury areas. If you need his number, please PM me as I can never find posts once Ive left them *blushes*

Another one who knows of Antonio. He is an ex-farrier turned against shoes and only does barefoot now. I have seen his work (friend has horses done by him, and I looked at their feet and soles). Would use him myself, if I could understand him LOL, his english accent is a bit hard for me to understand as I am deaf

well antonio was shocked when I rang him, had to tell him exaclty where I got his number form! Quite embarrasing, unfortunately hes too far away from me so the petrol costs put him out of budget.

Did you get the farrier sorted out ? I use both a farrier and an EP. the EP is always on time, or a little early, and is booked in advance. The farrier is always on time, unless he's seeing to a horse with vet in attendance prior to us, then he will put us off till next day. The farrier seems to be better at reducing the flare and putting a mustang roll on than my old farrier who retired last yr. But I still maintain the EP does a better job. And EP lives near Newmarket, and only charges £5 travel to me ! I just can't afford it for ALL the horses, so the ones that need it more have the EP.
