Some of you may know that I've been living with Roz for a little while, after splitting up from hubby.
I've been on the lookout for a little yard, with accommodation preferably, where I could set up a little business of my own, to compliment my equine podiatry work.
I did find somewhere a while ago, but it fell through ...
But I've just put a deposit on the perfect place! It's on the edge of the Mendips, attached to a livery yard so I can use their facilities (indoor/outdoor schools). I've got five, brand new, loose boxes and 15 acres of grazing to play with, and 2-bed accommodation on site! And the offroad hacking is just fab.
I'm planning on taking on perhaps a couple of horses on full livery that need their feet sorting, and need the extra, every day, attention that their owner may not have time to give, and maybe a simple full livery or two also! So, if there's anyone about looking for full livery in this area, give me a shout!
I move in next weekend! Woohoo!

congratulations - you will love it! We moved to a similar place in May and havent looked back - no liveries for us though, Martin couldnt bear the thought of it after 25 years running a yard!

That's why I want to take on full liveries - I don't think I could cope with DIYs! And if I DON'T put someone else's horses in the spare stables, I KNOW I'll fill them up some other way ...

Hiya - no, not moved in yet. Next week. I'm away for a long weekend this weekend, and I decided it was daft to move myself in, leaving the horses where they are, then to move them when I got back (no matter how much I was looking forward to it!) so I decided to leave it 'til I got back ...
Can't wait though!

Lucky you ! I used to live in a small village at the foot of the Mendips and used to work in a yard right on top of them . . . best advice I can give at the moment is get a really thick scarf and gloves as you'll need them !! The people are generally very friendly in that neck of the woods too and they don't all have webbed toes and three eyes !!!
