Is he Percheron or Boulonnaise? He is beautiful whatever his breeding! If "pouetpouet" is his stud book name, then it means he was foaled in 2003. The French Haras are strict that the horses names have to start with certain letter for each year, for for example with my Bretons: Gibus - 1994 Klebert (bertie) - 1998 Napoleon (Podge) - 2001 Seigneur (Solly) - 2006

Also, if you get the chance to visit Normandy (France), it's well worth a look at the National Studs there - you have the Haras St Lo and the Haras du Pin, both of which hold breeding Percheron stallions and both are open to the public.

He looks lovely. However I didn't think he was a rescue really as he as he was on the 'For Sale' part of Nouvelle-Vie NOT the rescue/to save!!
I have also looked on the Equine Section Forum and you have put the following posting: "hi milo, yer we can get them by the lorry full, he was due for meat too just like all the others, sad isnt it, full papers, ride and drive 4 year old would have been a waste. hes from a trecking centre that burnt down, owner was jailed repossession company were taking everything of value to sell. anyway tried to get him from reposs but he ended up at meat farm, but now hes safe xx "
Your comment "yer we can get them by the lorry full" Are you not then becoming a dealer!!??

That's a bit of an agressive first post grendon and out of order! Would you like to introduce yourself and perhaps ask the question in a more polite form?

Grendon I think what Lisa means is that so many horses are going to meat at the moment it is very easy to get them and bring them over to the UK! I don't understand what your problem is? Or maybe you are a regualr and are hiding behind a new account name?

Grendon, ok 2 points here, Perchrons come by the lorry full and leave by the lorry full in france to these fat/meat farms. as do comtior and bretons etc, so i wont retract my statement on that. therea re soo many that are about to be slaughtered. maybe i could have worded it better by saying there will be more if you want one i can tell you when there at fat farms, but then i think youve picked holes
You are correct he didnt go onto the Urgency section on NV for two reasons 1 i was pretty sure i was having him before he was listed so as not to take attention away from the ones that had no interest . two when i spoke with lucy about him she told me the other reason NV placed him there and not on the urgencys because he was alot of £ for a meat horse. However hes not alot of money for what he is.
If i was a dealer i would be loaded, im not personally selling these horses egh i do not own them so thats a no im not a dealer.

Or maybe you are a regualr and are hiding behind a new account name? i quite agree with that, defo someone familiar with all the sites. also he is at a certain fat farm therefor a meat horse. he is a rescue and he is not one to stay for fattening, im sure most will agree by looking at his current size, next lorry for that lad. for him its the good one.

ummm very suspicious to me 1st post aswell , jupiter was also not at the fattening farm but horses this size don,t need fattening and go straight on the lorry so there urgency can come quite quick
