I post over there, and I have had the most horrendous arguments online with some of them over the last week or so regarding the horses from dept 41. It really is not worth posting anything over there until you can prove with a quote from the ILPH that they are behind you you. I posted at one point that the ILPH did not consider those of us saving a horse to be fuelling the meat trade, ( I am doing some artwork for them to raise money, and had been on the phone to the ILPH the previous day mentioning the H&H thread) and was attacked by one poster demanding ''where in the ILPH literature it told her to go and buy horses from this farm, and where the ILPH backing for this farm (business venture) was''. They read what they want to read, and at the moment cannot back down and be seen to have been wrong. Whilst I totally agree with what you are doing, and support it, I can also take their point about the website. It is exactly what the unscrupulous web peeps try and dupe the normal person with. I know your intentions are good, but you could be (in their eyes) a scammer who has seen the saving horses threads and leapt on a good idea. I personally think they are having a go for the sake of it, and being incredibly rude, but until you have proof of backing, that is exactly what their reaction will be. If I was you, I'd wait until you have all the ILPH backing in place, then they can make fools of themselves with unfounded accusations and you can refer them to the ILPH directly. Maybe you can ask the ILPH admin to remove the thread and explain why. I'm sure they'll oblige, because all that has been written in response is a to an fro about whether you are for real or not. I'm really not having a go at you here, I hope it doesn't come across like that. Please don't be put off, just wait until you have the charity's backing in place, then go for your life!!!

hi horse arts, i understand what your saying. Equine section is backing the ILPH as are many other charities and organizations. We don't so much need them to back us but we are horrified at what goes on and are more than happy to back them, i spoke to Emma the other day, she will let us know when the next petition is ready to sign. if its a live petition on line there will be a page on my website for this with the link to the live petition. I have read their comments on what we are and do and after certain things lately I'm not phased in the slightest by any ignorance and p**s take. We however have many well known people about to back us so H&H people will not bother us and their comments, its one thing having a opinion but they to me are just having a laugh,. but hey with 17 thousand hits in 2 weeks to the site and over 50 horses saved they cant be doing us any harm so let them carry on it works hand in hand. Most of their comments prove the don't have a clue what were about and haven't inspected the site closely enough. They ones who have felt the need to rip it apart and Kelly as well as her users right here at the IHDG are of small minority to us seemed to have no compassion for equines full stop. as i said before a different breed of folk, However that doesn't account for all. Many are giving us a chance to get established and get things right before becoming opinionated. your comment didn't come across as having a go, i also could see some valid points but felt mostly they misunderstood the site eg thinking it was a charity. we have never claimed to be a charity and do state on site that we are not a charity. They also seem to be missing the point that this live export ban after many years still isnt being taken seriously therefor until it is sorted if we can help the od one here and there then why not,. these horses themselfs are raising awareness. also comments about horses here in the uk, where on earth do they think they go after being shipped to ireland were hitting it in the heart of where its all happening. Also equinesection isnt a french website it is for horses from all over, yet we can only put horses on that have been brought to our attention xx

hi horsearts - thank you for your comments and support - i appreciate what you are saying, i just feel that in general members of h&h are totally ignorant and arrogant and are not what i would call "horse lovers", so i am not sure why i even bothered posting on there!? anyone would think i was asking for bl**dy bank details!!?? i haven't even bothered to check what is being said as it does upset and anger me somewhat! i am doing this for the welfare of equines, no benefit to me other than knowing i am helping the ilph.

It upset me too, and drove me nuts trying to keep my cool when I wanted to call them a bunch of selfish *&^%^$%££s! I think it is a few who are always on and hate to be disagreed with or proven wrong, and the rest are too wise to get involved. I know some others who agree with what we do, but won't raise their heads above the parapet. Which I understand completely. Please don't let the insults of a few cloud you to the fact that a lot of the forum are pleasant enough people. I for one have learned quite a bit from it. And been shot at as well!!! Anyway, the priority is the horses, and you are doing a great job in putting the message across. Well done, and keep at it!!
